# Where can I find the cash register start date in Meldefluss?

The **start date** is the day on which a cash register **was set up and ready for use** and could be used for business operations, i.e., **not the first sale**, but the first day on which the cash register **could theoretically be used**.

###### What counts as the start date?
* The day on which you set up the cash register in the store and got it ready to go
* Not the date of purchase or the first transaction
* Even if there were no customers on that day, the cash register was ready for use

###### Examples:

| Store opens on 01.05, first sale on 03.05 | **01.05** |
| Cash register set up on April 10th, store opened on May 1st | **01.05** |
| Test sale on the 15.03, actual sales starting April 1st | **01.04** (not the test day) |

### **Important for checkout reporting**:
Each individual checkout (e.g., each iPad) gets its own start date.
