Agenzia delle Entrate Authentication

Connecting your tax account in Italy

To activate live taxation in Italy, you can connect your OpenFiskal app with your Italian Revenue Agency account. You are then basically authorising OpenFiskal to handle your Italian tax account credentials on your behalf. This step is part of the **Go-Live-Flow **and is important before going live.

What is AdE authentication?

AdE stands for Agenzia delle Entrate, the Italian tax authority. During authentication:

  • Enter your Fisconline credentials
  • OpenFiskal establishes a secure connection
  • The system can operate in compliance with Italian RT requirements
Without this link, it is not possible to activate live fiscalisation.

What credentials are required?

On the “Step 1: Revenue Agency Credentials” screen, you must enter:

  • Fisconline password
  • Fisconline PIN
  • Tax code of the authorised person

These three elements establish authentication.

⚠️ The tax code is that of the natural person authorised to operate on behalf of the company (legal representative or delegated person).

How do I get a Fisconline account?

If you do not yet have an account:

  1. You must request one from the Revenue Agency.
  2. Activation may require personal identification.
  3. You will receive:
  • The initial password immediately.
  • The **PIN **at a later stage (immediate part + deferred part).
Without the complete password and PIN, you cannot complete the authentication.

Please note: Credentials expire

Important feature in Italy: The Fisconline credentials used for this integration expire every 60 days. This means:

  • They must be renewed periodically.
  • If they are not updated, authentication will be interrupted.
  • Operational blocks may occur until renewal.

Delegations and company access

It is not mandatory for the owner to authenticate themselves personally. Possible system:

  • The legal representative accesses the AdE portal.
  • Through the delegation system, they grant access to an employee or administrator.
  • The employee can then use their credentials to authenticate themselves in OpenFiskal.

In Italy, there is a system of delegated access to the tax portal.

Important: The person entering the credentials must be formally authorised to operate on behalf of the company.

Procedure in OpenFiskal
  1. Enter your Fisconline password.
  2. Enter your Fisconline PIN.
  3. Enter your tax code.
  4. Click on ‘Save credentials’.
  5. Proceed with the Go-Live-Flow.

Once this step is complete, the system is authenticated and you can proceed with:

  • Operating mode activation
  • RT configuration
  • Commissioning

What happens if authentication fails?

The most common causes:

  • Incorrect PIN
  • Expired password
  • Credentials not renewed after 60 days
  • Unauthorised tax code
  • Delegation not active

In these cases:

  • Check direct access to the Revenue Agency portal.
  • Check the status of delegations.
  • Renew credentials if necessary.

In summary

AdE authentication is the technical link between: OpenFiskal ↔ Revenue Agency

Without this step, you cannot go live. You need:

  • Fisconline password
  • PIN
  • Authorised tax code
  • Valid credentials (remember: 60-day expiry)
This is a technical but critical step. If something is not correct here, the entire tax flow is blocked.
