Display TSE and RKSV QR codes on printed Shopify receipts

See the Quick start guide here:

The Steps in detail:

Step 1: Click on “Copy Code” next to the code snippet:

Step 2: Navigate to the code editor for printed receipts:

⚠️ Note: If you are opening the code editor for the very first time, it may not open immediately and only a blank screen will be displayed. In this case, simply reload the page in your browser.

⚠️ If you see the visual editor instead of the code editor, press "Edit code" in the top left to open the code editor.

Step 3: For the code snippet directly below the line {% render ‘footer’ %}, enter:

**Step 4: Click on “Save” **at the top right. You should now be able to see the change in the preview of your receipt on the right-hand side:

⚠️ Please note that when switching from the code editor back to the visual editor, the code snippet is no longer taken into account and therefore no QR code is displayed.

Step 5: Wait approximately 60 seconds until the next receipt is printed to see the QR code:

💡Alternatively, you can close the Shopify POS app completely and reopen it, or go to “Connectivity” > “Data Synchronization” > “Update All” to ensure that the receipt template is reloaded.

Test print

Then print out a test receipt. This can also be a sale for $0 to ensure that the QR code is displayed correctly. The result should look something like this:

Tips & common pitfalls

It is best to always perform a test sale before going live.

If the code does not appear:

  • Check whether POS Pro is active.
  • Check whether you have actually been working in sales-receipt.liquid.
  • Check whether the code is at the end of the Liquid template and not in the middle.
