Enter Lottery Code

In Italy, the Lottery Code **is a personal code that the customer can use to participate in the Italian **Receipt Lottery, promoted by the Italian Tax Agency.

OpenFiskal supports the entry of the Lottery Code directly during the sale through a dedicated POS extension in your POS App.

What is the Lottery Code?

The Lottery Code is an 8-character alphanumeric code generated by the consumer on the official lottery portal. During a purchase, the customer can:

1. Provide their Lottery Code to the retailer.
2. Request that it be entered before payment.
3. Automatically participate in the draw.

How it works in OpenFiskal

Thanks to our dedicated POS UI Extension, during checkout you can:

• Open the “Lottery Code” field
• Enter the customer's 8-digit code
• Apply it to the transaction
• Transmit it automatically along with the tax data

Workflow:

1. The customer provides their Lottery Code.
2. The operator opens the ‘Lottery Code’ form in the POS.
3. They enter the code.
4. Confirm with ‘Apply code’.
5. Proceed with card payment.

The code is included in the commercial document and transmitted to the Revenue Agency together with the payments.

Where does the Lottery Code appear?

If entered correctly:

• It is present in the Commercial Document.
• It is transmitted in the tax data.
• It allows the customer to participate in the draw.

If it is not entered before payment, it cannot be added later.

Important conditions

• Valid only for electronic payments
• The code must be entered before the sale is completed
• It is not mandatory for the customer
• The retailer does not manage the draw or the prize
