Display the TSE or RKSV QR code on printed Shopify receipts
If you print receipts with Shopify, you add the fiscal QR code (TSE in Germany, RKSV in Austria) by pasting the OpenFiskal code snippet into Shopify’s receipt editor. These steps are for new users setting up printed receipts for the first time, and for anyone whose QR code stopped printing after moving to Shopify’s new receipt editor.

Add the code snippet
Shopify’s receipt editor works on both POS Lite and POS Pro, so you don’t need POS Pro for this.
- Open the OpenFiskal app. You’ll find the setup item below right on the home page: click “Copy code”.

- Click “Open editor” to go to Shopify’s receipt editor for printed receipts.

- Under “Location”, select “Default (all locations)”. In the “Footer” section, click “Add block”, then select “Custom Liquid”.

- Paste the code snippet from your clipboard into the “Liquid code” field, then click “Save”.

- Wait about 60 seconds before printing your next receipt, or fully close and reopen the Shopify POS app, and the QR code will show up.

Print a test receipt
Print a test receipt, which can also be a €0 transaction, to check that the QR code appears correctly. It should look roughly like this:

If you still see the notice banner
If you’ve completed the steps above and still see the banner below, you can dismiss it by clicking the X.
