Where do I find the cash register software & version?
You need to provide two pieces of information for the cash register report:
- The name of the cash register software you are using
- The current version number of this software
What do I enter in Shopify POS?
- Software: Shopify POS
- App version: e.g. 10.2.2 (as of the time of reporting)
How to find the app version
The process is the same for iOS and Android:
- Open the Shopify POS app
- Tap “Support”
- Select “View device information”
- The app version is displayed under “App version,” e.g., 10.2.2
Good to know:
- The app version does not need to be updated regularly
- You only report the status at the time of reporting
Do I have to report software updates?
- No. You do not need to report app updates. A new cash register report is only necessary if you change your cash register system (e.g., from Shopify POS to another provider).
