Where do I find the TSE-decommissioning date?

If you have used the Shopify TSE app and a cash register has been taken out of service – e.g. due to a change of location, a new iPad, or uninstallation – a decommissioning date is automatically saved.

This date is particularly relevant for the cash register reporting obligation and should be included when reporting to the tax office.

How do I find the date in Shopify TSE?

The exact decommissioning date is not directly visible in the Shopify TSE app. You have the following options:

  1. Contact Shopify SupportYou can ask Shopify Support to provide you with the official decommissioning date for your TSE.
  2. Reconstruct your own end of useIf you remember when you last actively used the cash register, you can use this date as a guide.
  3. Check the DSFinV-K export In some cases, the last transaction date of the TSE can be traced in the DSFinV-K export – for example, using the last start/end time of a transaction or signature.

Are you already using OpenFiskal TSE?

If you use OpenFiskal, you don't need to worry about this:

👉 The decommissioning date is automatically documented and displayed directly in the Meldefluss app as soon as a cash register has been correctly deregistered.

Why is this relevant?

When switching to a new cash register or a new provider (e.g., OpenFiskal), you must officially deregister existing cash registers. The decommissioning date is one of the mandatory details for cash register registration, e.g. in our Meldefluss app.
