How to obtain Fisconline credentials
OpenFiskal transmits your sales data to the Agenzia delle Entrate on your behalf. To do this, it needs the Fisconline credentials: tax code, password and 10-digit PIN.

Who can request them
The credentials always belong to a natural person, never directly to the company. The natural person is then associated with a company holding a VAT number.
The person must be the legal representative or a gestore incaricato (appointed operator), that is, someone formally appointed by the legal representative: an employee or your accountant.
Many merchants use their accountant's credentials, since they are already familiar with the portal and with the periodic password renewal.
Part 1. Check that you can operate for the company
- Log in to the AdE Reserved Area with SPID, CIE or CNS.
- Go to "Il tuo profilo" (Your profile), then "Incarichi" (Appointments), then "Visualizza chi ti ha incaricato" (View who has appointed you).

- Check that the company's tax code is in the list and that the Tipo Incarico (appointment type) is GESTORE. If the Tipo Incarico is INCARICATO, that is not enough: it must be GESTORE. Ask the legal representative to follow the steps in part 2. If the company does not appear in the list, go to part 2. If it appears as GESTORE, go to part 3.

Part 2. Getting appointed as Gestore Incaricato
- Log in to the Reserved Area with the legal representative's personal SPID, CIE or CNS.
- Go to "Il tuo profilo" (Your profile), then "Incarichi" (Appointments), then "Gestisci incarichi come rappresentante legale" (Manage appointments as legal representative).

- Enter the company's tax code and click "Avanti" (Next).

- Click "Aggiungi gestore incaricato" (Add appointed operator).

- Enter the tax code of the person to appoint and confirm. It can be the legal representative themselves, an employee or the accountant.

The appointed person appears in the list and from that moment can request their own Fisconline credentials to operate on behalf of the company.

Part 3. Set up an authorised contact
- Log in to the AdE Reserved Area.
- Go to "Il tuo profilo" (Your profile), then "Contatti" (Contacts).
- Enter an email address and confirm it following the instructions you receive.
If you do not reside in Italy this step is effectively mandatory: without an authorised contact, the credentials are only sent by paper mail to your tax residence address.
Part 4. Retrieve the credentials
- Go to "Il tuo profilo" (Your profile), then "Sicurezza e privacy" (Security and privacy), then "Preleva Credenziali/PIN" (Retrieve Credentials/PIN).
- Click "Preleva Credenziali/PIN".

- The first 4 digits of the PIN appear immediately on screen. Write them down.
- The remaining 6 digits and the initial password arrive to the authorised contact in the following minutes.
Without an authorised contact the procedure is identical, but the second part of the PIN and the initial password arrive by mail within 15 days.
Alternatively: at an AdE office
You can request the credentials at a local AdE office by appointment, bringing the completed PIN Request Form (Modello di Richiesta PIN) and a valid ID.
If you go in person you immediately receive the first 4 digits of the PIN, the initial password and the instructions to obtain the remaining 6 digits online. If you delegate another person with a special power of attorney, the office only hands over the first 4 digits: the rest arrives by mail within 15 days.

Part 5. Update the password and renew it every 60 days
- Log in to the AdE Reserved Area with tax code, PIN and initial password.
- The system asks you to set a new password. If it doesn't, go to "Il tuo profilo" (Your profile), then "Sicurezza e privacy" (Security and privacy), then "Cambio password" (Change password).
- Enter the current password, choose a new one and confirm.

The renewal works exactly as above. We recommend changing it every 60 days and setting a recurring reminder in your calendar. Every time you change it, update it in the OpenFiskal settings as well: if the two passwords don't match, transmission stops.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I use Entratel instead of Fisconline?
No. OpenFiskal requires Fisconline credentials regardless of the company's size, because the credentials always belong to a natural person. Even if your company uses Entratel for other tax matters, the legal representative or the accountant can still personally request their own Fisconline credentials.
- Should I use my credentials or my accountant's?
Both work, as long as the person is the legal representative or a gestore incaricato of the company. Many choose the accountant, since they already handle the periodic password renewal.
- I don't reside in Italy but I have an Italian company. Can I use OpenFiskal?
Yes, all you need is for the legal representative or a gestore incaricato to have valid Fisconline credentials. Set up the email contact before requesting the PIN, otherwise the paper mail is sent to your tax residence address. Also consider appointing your Italian accountant as gestore incaricato, so they handle credentials and renewals for you.
- I've lost my password or PIN.
The recovery procedure depends on which credentials you still have.
You have the PIN and the initial password. Go to the password reset page, enter tax code, PIN and initial password, choose a new password and confirm.
You have the PIN but not the initial password. Go to the initial password recovery page, enter your tax code and the requested PIN digits. This option only works if you have an authorised contact (email, PEC or mobile) on your profile.
You've lost the PIN too. Go to the PIN reprint page and choose the scenario based on what you lost (first part, second part or complete PIN). For the second part of the PIN after 15 days from registration, or for the entire PIN, you'll need to go in person to an AdE office.
